Darrell Fox and Emilie at the 2nd Annual Fundraiser

Emilie’s annual event is an inspiring evening of food, community, and fundraising in support of cancer research. The first event took place in 2023 and has continued to grow each year, thanks in part to the participation of Darrell Fox, Terry Fox’s brother, who co-hosts the event each year.

Emilie raises additional funds through lemonade and bake stands, the Terry Fox School Run, and other special events throughout the year.

Donations are welcome year-round, with 100% supporting the Terry Fox Foundation. Please click on the link below to donate to life-saving cancer research today.

Friends of Fox at the Canucks

To mark the 45th anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, our family approached Canucks Sports & Entertainment with the idea of bringing the Fox family to the April 12 game to honour Terry’s legacy through a special in-game tribute featuring the powerful “Finish It” video. The tribute was embraced wholeheartedly, leading to an unforgettable moment where the arena fell silent and then erupted in a standing ovation as Terry’s brother Darrell Fox appeared on the big screen, acknowledging Terry’s continuing impact.

A big thank you to our incredible partners for supporting our fundraisers!

My Inspiration

Since learning about Terry Fox from my grade one teacher, I have taught my friends and family about cancer and why it’s important to support cancer research by fundraising. Terry is a hero!

A young girl in a dark winter coat, purple boots, and jeans, holding a plush toy, stands on snow in front of statues of runners outside a stadium. The stadium has glass and metal architecture, and a digital sign in the background displays the message 'We are here because we want technology to happen.'
Two young girls sitting on a wooden porch, holding books titled 'Terry Fox' and smiling at the camera.
A girl and an older man standing together at an indoor ice hockey game, with the rink and audience in the background. The girl is wearing a white hoodie and a black baseball cap, and the man is wearing a white T-shirt with a Canadian map and the words 'Marathon for Hope.' They are smiling and posing for the photo.
Two young girls smiling and standing in front of a large black-and-white poster of Terry Fox, a cancer survivor and runner, with a younger girl holding a donut in her hand. The poster includes a photograph of Terry Fox lifting weights and text about his story and the idea of running across Canada to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
